Jesus christ I am sorry to bump this out of nowhere but Ark, [shoobeedoobeedoo], I am so sorry about what I said in this thread to you. I must have had a really bad day or something because damn.

Also I still really like the concept of the class and the abilities involved, and HK and I are discussing it a bit on Skype right now and how some of the ability ideas can be used for some jobs in Beta 3. Spoilers.

Wow, I can't believe this was posted already a year ago. Seems like only recently. Still, I support the idea of the class along with all the abilities (although it was 4 am when I skimmed over them.) A pure defensive class is needed. If anyone else has any good ideas for the class, please share them.

This would most likely be a way over powered abilty but, what about a defence move called final touch.

Activates upon 2 or more party member's dropping to 1 hp at the same time. Effect,unleashes a wild string of blow's ending in mutilpiles 9 "1 attack for every 9 level's the player's have "ie 2 level 99's=18 attack's" ending in the player's death after the final attack.

It's semi defencive in the way that what ever they were fighting will be most likely killed "other then a boss fight" and give's the class a redeeming offensive abilty.


Just throwing in my 2 cent's,love the game and this class sounds great

I think such an ability would be entirely contrary to the point.

So when a group is practically dead, it drops some attacks then keels over dead. Seems something like a berserker would do, not a defensive class like the defender. A better idea would be some kind of Dire Cover that will step in for any offensive action singly targeted at the selected target, at the cost of 1/16th HP. Offensive meaning single target spells like Fire and Charm and single target melee attacks, but multi-target moves would bypass the cover.
